sapling

"We've got to go underground therefore, like the seed, so that something new, something different, may come forth."
-- Henry Miller, Nexus

For any novel thought or self realization to come about one must step out of society for a moment. You must become solitary, dig deep into the depths of the mind to sow the seed. The seed needs to be planted deep enough to root, but not so deep that gentle rains and sunshine cannot provide nourishment. But nothing grows that isn't planted, and the more one gives into lethargy or depression or jadedness or indifference the more time is spent NOT SOWING and not wanting to KNOW what can GROW if one decides to make it happen. We were either given dominion over all other beings or took it, but either way you look at it we somehow now have control to create or destroy, and we have a sadistic predisposition towards the latter. GET OVER YOURSELF, PRIDE and accept the beauty in curiosity. So get low, go underground & plant the seed instead of watching the redwoods only get taller.
